Drawing on Tradition

Last year (less than a week ago) you could read about our BI Drawing on Tradition-series. This image is a excellent example what can be and what is produced in that kind of class: Scarlet Paintbrush (Castilleja miniata), Tumbleweed Shield lichen (Xanthoparmelia chlorochroa) with Ebony Sedge (Carex ebenea) by Jan Boyd-Haring. This class was all about Albrecht Dürer and the instructor was Karla Beatty.

In the classroom the techniques and equipment used by Dürer were re-created…
