Congratulations September 2010 Graduates!

(Euphorbia lactea 'Cristata', watercolor by Anna Arkin)

Please join me to congratulate the five new Botanical Illustration graduates from the Denver Botanic Gardens'  Botanical Art and Illustratioin Program: Anna Arkin, Susan Dorsey, Katie Geist, Susan Jensen and Barbara Weaver.
To complete the Certificate Program for Botanical Art and Illustration at Denver Botanic Gardens is an impressive achievement representing so much hard work, both in and out of the classroom. We are very impressed with the level of your competence, and we are thoroughly proud of you.
Samples of each graduates work is available by following the link on the right hand column of this blog under 2010 Portfolio Reviews or by clicking here. The quality of the images is in many cases unfortunately questionable due to the lighting, and to the fact that some of the artwork was framed and behind the glass.

The Student Show will hang from October 9 to November 7, 2010; the certificate awards ceremony and reception will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2010, 1-3 p.m. in the Gates Garden Court at Denver Botanic Gardens. Students and their families are invited to attend!
