Stockholm, 9.30 p.m.
We have had two long and strenuous days behind us. In Uppsala the highlight certainly was to see the bird illustrations done with real bird feathers most likely form late 17th and early 18th century. Today in Stockholm we saw herbarium collections from early 17th century and newly discovered illustrations from a South American expedition at the Swedish Museum of Natural History and at the Vasa Museum we got the access to the Magazines which are not available for public and most part not even cataloged, and artifacts including fabrics, human remains and metal from the ship that capsized in 1628. Finally today we got a review of the history of Stockholm from 12th century to today in a form a walking tour..A more detailed report will follow later.
(In the Vasa magazines underneath the ship)
