Bird illustration at El Charco

ElCharco del IngenioSan Miduel de Allende, GTO, Mexico is a bird watcher’s paradise, but drawing birds can be a challenge.
As part of the collaboration between El Charco del Ingenio,  and Denver Botanic Gardens, this course covers the basics of drawing birds in graphite. You learn the fundamental drawing skills to develop accurate bird renderings both at rest and in flight. You'll study the moving subject outside the classroom while sketching and photographing them. Learn bird anatomy and physical characteristics through group instruction and individual attention. The goal of this course is to produce a finished graphite drawing which may depict anything from an impressionistic rendering of a hawk in flight to a detailed photo-realistic portrait of one’s favorite songbird.
