Rory McEwen and the Botanical Art

(Rory McEwen, watercolor on velum 1967, please click to enlarge)
In our series Drawing on Tradition, a workshop about Rory McEwen (1932-1982) and his groundbreaking techniques in botanical art began. A pleasant surprise awaited the students in the classroom: Alice Pierson, one of our youngest students came with an original Rory McEwen painting and made it possible for the other students to study his strokes close by.
